Sun Care

Sun care involves diligently using broad-spectrum sunscreens with at least SPF 30 and following sun-safe practices to protect the skin from damaging UVA and UVB rays, which are the primary causes of premature aging, sunburn, and skin cancer.

Sun Safety Best Practices:
Seek Shade: Spend time in the shade, especially between 11 am and 3 pm when the sun's rays are strongest.
Cover Up: Wear protective clothing, a wide-brimmed hat, and UV-blocking sunglasses.
Apply Generously and Frequently: Apply sunscreen liberally to all exposed areas 15 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply at least every two hours, or immediately after swimming, sweating, or toweling off.
Check Expiry Dates: Sun care products lose their effectiveness over time. Check the open jar icon for the expiry date (usually 12 months) and get a new product if it has expired.
